Riv­er Cot­tage is a superb 8 bed­room cot­tage on the out­skirts of the pic­turesque vil­lage of Ash­ford in the Water, per­fect for large groups of up to 20 guests.

The cot­tage has a total of 8 bed­rooms (some are fam­i­ly rooms with bunk beds) and 7 bath­rooms, the major­i­ty of bed­rooms also have the option of being made up as twins or dou­ble beds, offer­ing guests the great flex­i­bil­i­ty in sleep­ing arrange­ments. The prop­er­ty has a fab­u­lous large kitchen, ful­ly equipped with every­thing you need to self-cater for a large group includ­ing a dou­ble range mas­ter oven. There is a sep­a­rate for­mal din­ing room with seat­ing for up to 20 guests around one long table as we know din­ing togeth­er is an impor­tant aspect of your stay. There is also an ele­gant sit­ting room, per­fect for relax­ing in after a fun filled day explor­ing the Peak District.

One of the best fea­tures of this prop­er­ty is the amaz­ing out­door space, the prop­er­ty has the most beau­ti­ful man­i­cured gar­den with the Riv­er Wye flow­ing at the bot­tom it. There is a love­ly patio area with out­door din­ing table, seat­ing, and BBQ, a delight­ful spot to enjoy some al fres­co din­ing and soak up the river­side views with the rolling Der­byshire hills as a backdrop.

Plen­ty of space to cater for your group with a Range Mas­ter dou­ble oven with grill and 6 gas hobs plus an addi­tion­al small­er oven. The kitchen is well stocked with all the equip­ment and mod cons. One end of the kitchen has a love­ly infor­mal din­ing space with built in com­fort­able bench seat­ing and a sep­a­rate beamed din­ing room with plen­ty of space to dine up to 20 guests.
Beau­ti­ful­ly styled sit­ting room with sol­id oak floor­ing has an elec­tric fire, neu­tral décor, gor­geous soft fur­nish­ings and com­fy sofas. The floor to ceil­ing win­dows attract mass­es of light that flood the room, enjoy views of the gar­den towards the riv­er and the hills beyond. 
Eight fab­u­lous bed­rooms in total. We know that groups come in all shapes and sizes and have dif­fer­ent require­ments so there is a mix of dou­bles, twins and bunk beds so you can pick and choose your lay­out to suit up to 20 adult guests.

The loca­tion of Riv­er Cot­tage is first-rate, Ash­ford in the Water which is well known for its medieval Sheep-wash bridge and long tra­di­tion of well dress­ing, is well served by two tra­di­tion­al vil­lage pubs, a tea­room and fan­tas­tic local shop/​deli. There are plen­ty of great walks from your doorstep includ­ing a great cir­cu­lar route up to the famous Mon­sal Head which has breath-tak­ing views over the dra­mat­ic Peak Dis­trict land­scape. You are also only 2 miles from the ancient his­toric mar­ket town of Bakewell, home to the famous Bakewell pudding.
