Stylish and spacious, the farmhouse and barn have panoramic rural views showing the ruins of Raglan castle in mid distance stretching to the Sugarloaf mountain where the sun sets — fantastic to see from the terrace and swimming pool. Beautifully quiet yet only minutes drive from award winning pubs and restaurants.
The accommodation is both spacious and comfortable, fully equipped and recently furnished to a high standard. There are sun terraces, a verandah, croquet lawn and grassy area for ball games. Large outdoor heated swimming pool (summer only). All year hot tub. Games room. Ample parking. Disabled access to both buildings.
The farm itself has enchanting walks, with a picturesque grotto in its own woodlands, and the stream walk which has many little waterfalls and wild flowers. There is a well-tended grassy jogging or walking track round the fields.
Free of noise and traffic , just sheep and cattle in nearby fields. Lots of birds, including 2 pairs of buzzards. Badger dens by stream. Wonderful sunsets, hot air balloons in the sky doing low passes over Raglan Castle.
On the border between England and Wales, this area has many ruined castles and churches, the closest being Raglan Castle and Tintern Abbey.
The area offers boat cruises, walks and adventure activities in Wye Valley Gorge, or walks on Offa’s Dyke, Sugarloaf and other mountains. For towns, we’re within an hour of Bristol, Cardiff, Chepstow, Cheltenham and Hereford.
Nearest pub 5 minutes by car.. Village shops: 10 minutes by car. The Raglan Londis shop bakes fresh bread and pies. The nearby town of Monmouth has many restaurants and independent shops.
Easy access to M4, M5 and M50. The drive from west London takes 2½ hours, Birmingham 1.5. Perfect for any group wanting togetherness with a bit of their own
