Indoors
Soaring ceilings and magnificent light filled windows greet you, creating an airy and welcoming space.
The open-plan kitchen diner centres around the bespoke 12-seater table built by the owner with seats reclaimed from an old London bus! The marble topped kitchen island houses a large range cooker. A wood burner is located at the end of the room together with a corner sofa.
Next to the kitchen is a small quirky ‘cocktail room’ with a handmade wooden bar. A grand old school room beyond is the ultimate entertaining space, with a large dining table for 12, pool table and a dancing spot with shimmering disco ball. There are plenty of comfortable sofas and armchairs to relax and socialise.
A cosy sitting room across the hall has an open fire, plush L‑shaped velvet sofa and a 65-inch TV with Sony sound bar.
All the rooms are large and light, with either wooden or stone flagged floors. There is plenty of storage and hanging space throughout. The sitting room, kitchen, hallway and cloakroom are all on one level. A step leads down to the bar through to The Old School Room, as well as steps leading down into the utility room.
The staircase that leads from the ground floor to the first floor is wide. (Please note that its shape makes it unsuitable to fit a stair gate).
Large master bedroom with wooden floors and ensuite bathroom. The zip-and-link super king bed, can be set up as a double or twin. Shower cubicle, roll-top bath, and ample storage in floor to ceiling cupboards.
Bedroom 2 — Zip-and-link super king bed, that can convert to a twin. Has use of the shower room on this floor.
Bedroom 3 — Ensuite with a shower over the bath. Zip-and-link super king bed, that can be set up as a double or twin.
A further spiral staircase connects the first floor to the second-floor bedrooms.
All three second floor bedrooms are spacious with Zip and link beds which can be set up as super king beds or twins. Plenty of storage space and a skylight window.
These rooms share a large shower room and have use of the shower room on the first floor at the bottom of the stairs.
Outdoors
Set in 270 acres of private land close to the Yorkshire Dales, A bamboo-lined drive takes you under the arch into a large gravel courtyard which comfortably parks 7 – 8 cars. Doorway on the left leads to the main entrance, near to the hot tub and sauna area.
Outside of the kitchen, the enclosed decking, soak in the private bubbling hot tub, relax in the Swedish sauna, or sit and soak up the sun on the hand-carved wooden bench. An outdoor shower and changing room are handily placed for your convenience.
On the south side of the house are private gardens with pretty views over Brough Park beyond. The large lawn is perfect for picnics with your group, and also helps make this a super dog friendly holiday home.
NB if you have young children /pets, the garden is fenced but it is not securely enclosed and there is a small drop into a ditch that edges the lawn to watch out for.
