This beautiful 19th century maison de maître sleeping up to 21 is set in two acres of secluded and private French countryside. Perfect for large groups of families and friends to relax and rejuvenate in the French sunshine by the luxurious 13m long, heated swimming pool. There is also the opportunity to curl up by the fireplace in the evenings, eat at the magnificent yew dining room table, or just kick back and enjoy a delicious barbecue at one of two outside seating areas.
The house has been successfully let for over fifteen years and is managed by an English couple who will visit and attend to all your needs. Household help such as cooking, babysitting, cleaning can be arranged, if required. The house is very spacious and therefore ideal for several families wishing to share a holiday together.

This holiday home is fully renovated maintaining all of the modern features you could hope for. The house comprises eight bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, a sitting room, dining room and modern kitchen. Maximum sleeping capacity is twenty. When staying in Les Tilleuls there is no need to sacrifice comfort for beauty. Facilities Include a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, a TV and, of course, Wi-Fi. There is also table football along with plenty of board games and toys.
The swimming pool area tends to be the focal point of the holiday for guests, both during the day and in the evening. The 14m x 6.5m heated pool is surrounded by a large patio area with mature palm trees. The pool is floodlit at night and provides an idyllic location for alfresco dining or a late night swim. There is a built-in barbecue on the patio and plenty of seating and tables.
The house sits in 2 acres of mature gardens. There is a sandpit and swings for children to play on. Table tennis, a volley ball net and football goal posts for all the family to enjoy. On the terrace overlooking the garden there is a second barbecue, rattan sofa and chairs, a pergola with dining table and chairs and a patio heater.
A hot tub may be able to be provided for an additional charge.
The closest restaurant, boulangerie and general store is within 2 kilometres. The surrounding region is of gently rolling countryside, beautiful lakes and the forested areas along with scatterings of picturesque villages, such as the medieval village of Vouvant (11km) recently voted one of the most beautiful villages in France. Only an hour’s drive from Poitiers (home of Futuroscope) and the impressive coastal towns of La Rochelle and Les Sables d’Olonne, the setting for this impressive property is perfect for a secluded holiday. Within easy reach are golf courses, lakeside beaches, sailing, fishing and horse riding.There is a VTT station nearby and it is an ideal location for cycling. Many of the nearby villages have their own summer fetes and market days along with excellent, good-value cuisine that typifies rural France. The area is rich in history and boasts the second sunniest climate in France with as many hours of sunshine as the Mediterranean coast.
