Rounceval Townhouse & Spa with weekend package

Chipping Sodbury, Gloucestershire

Stunning, historic townhouse with Roman Spa, sleeping up to 16

Rounceval Townhouse was built in the reign of King Charles II in 1670. It sits at the top of the high street in the charming and lively market town of Chipping Sodbury and the house is perfectly located for sophisticated hen weekends and corporate breaks.

Built on the site of a Tudor house, Rounceval Townhouse is a detached, Carolean property with fabulous original features and an interesting history having once been the residence of the Lord of the Manor and thus one of the principal houses in the town.

The guest accommodation is access set over four floors. As is customary during this period, the principal rooms are on the first floor and it is here that you will find the stunning sitting room with seating for 16 guests, with TV and sound system. The spacious dining room with huge table which is large enough for the whole group is adjacent and the kitchen is fully equipped with double oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, large larder fridge, Nespresso coffee machine and ice maker.

The six luxuriously designed en-suite bedrooms sleep 16+ guests and there is a twin, pullout captains bed in the sitting room for two extra people.

The rooms have been beautifully decorated to reflect their themes:

The crystal room with chandeliers and a wall of mirrors, the French room with huge sleigh bed, the King’s Suite with interconnecting rooms and a magnificent Louis XIV bed, Ophelia, furnished in Gothic style and the Squire’s Room.

The Roman Spa

The Roman Spa has been created as a harmonious and relaxing environment with subtle lighting and ambient sounds all set within a subterranean garden. The large Spa bath can seat 10 guests and it is heated to a constant 39 degrees with a gently rippling wave effect.

The hanging garden has lighting, roman statues and a fountain with the large hot tub as its focal point.

We offer an inclusive package of;

Friday night supper OR cocktail masterclass

Plus Saturday return minibus into either Bath or Bristol.
