Bamford Hall is a large luxury home that sits on the River Derwent, in the Hope Valley, Derbyshire. It has been renovated to an incredible standard to suit all your self catering and holiday needs with the added benefit of countryside views from the large garden.
With 8 beautifully appointed bedrooms to choose from and seven bathrooms you will be spoilt for choice.
Everyone will find a place to call their own. So where do we start? Dine in The Grand Refectory, enjoying the river views and the wood burning fireplace, chill out in the TV room with Sky TV, enjoy a game of table football or play on the Wii, or hang out and watch Netflix in the games room. One thing is for sure we know that you won’t want this holiday to end.

The garden is a treasure trove of relaxing spaces, enjoy the sun drenched courtyard (sometimes!!!), sit and enjoy a glass of fizz in the hot tub or relax by the river’s edge watching ducks, the local Heron and maybe even some trout swim past.
The Hall was at one time the home of an industrial magnate who owned Bamford Mill and is thought to be approximately 200 years old. It has recently been extensively renovated to provide stylish and contemporary 5* luxury group accommodation in the heart of the Peak District.
Sleeping up to 20, the Hall has secure off street parking for 10 cars and is a 5 minute walk to the Station which is on the Manchester to Sheffield Line.

A large modern kitchen is well-equipped to cater for large parties, including a large Range-Master cooker with 6 gas burners, two ovens plus convection microwave. There is an American style Fridge Freezer with ice machine, large separate wine fridge, and additional dining facilities for 10 for easy serving. Sit and enjoy a quality coffee from one of the 2 Bosch Tassimo machines.
The Grand Refectory comfortably seats 20 for dining. An incredible room with high ceilings, a bay window with views to the river and a large marble surround wood burning fire place to keep cosy. Eat, drink, relax in style.

This great space provides all the cosy comfort you would expect with lots of comfy seating for everyone to watch sports or a movie on the wall mounted 50 inch TV with Sky.
A great selection of table games and books, table football, wall mounted 55 inch Smart TV with Sky & Netflix. Kids will love to lounge on the giant beanbags playing on the Wii. French doors lead out to the garden, great bar style seating area, and a large drinks fridge makes this the room to be in.

Bamford Hall has an expansive garden and outdoor living areas.
From the large paved courtyard off the kitchen with hot tub, a gas barbecue and plenty of outdoor seating for groups to relax in, to the riverfront seating with firepit …so many places to sit and drink in the fresh air whilst planning what to see or where to go next. Enjoy a game of boules or hide and seek with the kids.

Bamford has a lovely community owned pub, cafe and Post Office just a stroll up the street with live music most weekends. They also serve a great breakfast and evening meals.
Make sure you visit Ladybower and Derwent Reservoirs. Great views and walks and for the History Buffs the location used in practice by the Dam Busters.
Just down the road the village of Hope has a selection of traditional pubs serving food, cafés and some lovely little shops, while just over a mile away is the popular village of Castleton with its Norman Castle, numerous caves to explore and the imposing Winnats Pass.
Within an easy 4 minute drive of this fabulous house is Hathersage with its open air swimming pool, local cafes and restaurants. Nearby also are Edale, which is the start of the Pennine Way (check out the history of the plague here also) and the charming market towns of Bakewell and Buxton.
You are close to walks, cycling (road and mountain bikes) fishing, and golf.
