Orrest Head House was one of the first hous­es in the area, well before Win­der­mere vil­lage itself exist­ed. Orrest Head house has been rat­ed 5 star by Vis­it Britain a sta­tus we’re very proud of. The prop­er­ty can be hired with Orrest Head Cot­tage to increase your guest capac­i­ty from 12 to 17 in exclu­sive pri­vate grounds. Orrest Head House and Cot­tage are a short stroll from Win­der­mere vil­lage. The famous Orrest Head walk starts from your doorstep and takes you to the top of Orrest Head where you’ll find the most mag­nif­i­cent view of the ake Dis­trict, a view which Alfred Wain­wright the famous Lake Dis­tict author descibed as ​“chang­ing his life forever”.

Orrest Head House sleeps 12 in 5 bed­rooms all on ensuite, two of the bed­rooms have in bed­room baths- very booutique!

Orrest Head House has its own bar, a love­ly din­ing room with seats for 18, a huge lounge with over-sized Chester­field sofas and a large par­ty kitchen.

Orrest Head house is set in over 2 acres of grounds with Orrest Head Cot­tage, there is park­ing for a fleet of cars.

Orrrest Head House shares over 2 acres of exclu­sive grounds with Orrest Head Cot­tage. The house has a large patio with out­door fur­ni­ture and bar­be­cue. Guests have direct access to the walk to the top of Orrest Head one of the best short walks in the Lake Dis­trict. There is pri­vate park­ing for a whole fleet of cars.
