Marine Court offers com­fort­able accom­mo­da­tion with­in a short walk of the har­bour, beach­es, bars, restau­rants and shops. Sleep­ing 20 guests in 8 en-suite bed­rooms includ­ing 2 fam­i­ly suites it is flex­i­ble enough to suit most groups.

Marine Court is ide­al­ly placed for explor­ing beau­ti­ful North Devon, with some­thing for every­one, what­ev­er age. From art gal­leries and craft shops to award-win­ning beach­es, boat trips and adven­tur­ous activ­i­ties, we can guar­an­tee you a mem­o­rable stay. We have all of the prac­ti­cal­i­ties cov­ered — park­ing, good wifi, a great kitchen, games room, TVs in every bed­room, dish­wash­er, wash­ing machine and tum­ble dry­er, to make your stay as easy as possible.

We sup­ply a dig­i­tal guide­book which you can share with all of your group, con­tain­ing the inside track on all of the best places to vis­it as well as a guide to using the property. 

Spe­cial Features

Our lounge con­tains your own pri­vate bar and a 65″ smart TV. A games room with pool table, darts and retro arcade machine is great for friend­ly com­pe­ti­tion, and we have a good stock of board and card games to keep every­one amused. We sup­ply body boards, buck­ets, spades, beach games and crab­bing gear for you to take to the beach or har­bour, and when you get back we even have a warm out­side tap for sandy feet or mud­dy dogs!
The well equipped kitchen is designed for groups, with every­thing you need, includ­ing a triple-oven range cook­er, hot water boil­er and eye lev­el grill.

Indoors

On the ground floor, you’ll find a large and airy lounge and din­ing room with floor to ceil­ing win­dows giv­ing a glimpse of the charm­ing Thatched Inn across the road. The large din­ing tables can be pushed togeth­er for more inti­mate din­ing, or sep­a­rat­ed to seat up to 20 peo­ple at a time. You’ll also find plen­ty of games to keep every­one amused. Whether you’re into Scrab­ble, quizzes or Snakes and Lad­ders, we’ve got you covered.

The lounge has cozy seat­ing, includ­ing win­dow seats where you can curl up with a book from our col­lec­tion. There’s also your own bar to serve your favourite drinks. And if you want to watch some­thing on TV, we have a 65″ smart TV and DVD play­er, per­fect for movie nights or watch­ing sport­ing events with your group.

If you’re feel­ing com­pet­i­tive, head in to the games room, where you’ll find a pool table, elec­tron­ic dart board, and retro arcade machine for hours of entertainment.

The kitchen is ful­ly equipped for large groups, with a 3 oven range cook­er, large hob, eye lev­el grill and a plumbed-in water boil­er for hot drinks. There are sep­a­rate fridges and freez­er, a dish­wash­er and a larder for stor­ing food. And, with a sep­a­rate util­i­ty room fea­tur­ing a wash­ing machine and tum­ble dry­er, you’ll have every­thing you need for a com­fort­able and con­ve­nient stay.

The bed­rooms are spread over the upper 2 floors, with 4 bed­rooms on each floor. Each of the com­fort­able rooms has its own ensuite facil­i­ty. Two of the rooms are our fam­i­ly suites with 2 inter­con­nect­ed rooms each. You can check out the floor­plan on our web­site or video tour below to see the details of each room. All rooms also have their own tele­vi­sion, so you can watch what­ev­er you want with­out any arguments.

As you can see, the accom­mo­da­tion space is very flex­i­ble and will suit most groups. We can also pro­vide a trav­el cot, bed rail and high chairs if you’re trav­el­ling with lit­tle ones.

Out­doors

From the light and airy din­ing room you can step out to our sun­ny south-fac­ing ter­race, equipped with large tables and chairs. It’s per­fect for morn­ing cof­fee, after­noon tea, evening drinks, or sim­ply relax­ing with a good book. It’s also ide­al for dry­ing wet­suits or swim­ming gear.

We have an exter­nal tap with warm water, avail­able to rinse off sandy toes or mud­dy dogs.

Local Area

We are per­fect­ly locat­ed for explor­ing the har­bour town of Ilfra­combe with its thriv­ing art scene and many local inde­pen­dent shops, sport­ing activ­i­ties, boat trips, cafes, bars and restau­rants. Step out­side and you’re straight onto the South West Coastal path, offer­ing great exer­cise and stun­ning views of the rugged coastal land­scape. Around the har­bour you can mar­vel at Damien Hirst’s stat­ue Ver­i­ty, or climb Lantern Hill to take in the superb views and vis­it the UK’s old­est work­ing light­house with­in St Nicholas’ chapel. Enjoy fish and chips on the beach or try your hand at catch­ing crabs or fish­ing off the pier.

North Devon has some­thing for all the fam­i­ly includ­ing theme parks, zoos, Nation­al Trust prop­er­ties, lots of adven­tur­ous activ­i­ties on the sea or on land, award win­ning beach­es with stun­ning sun­sets and lots more besides. It’s both an area of out­stand­ing nat­ur­al beau­ty and home to the North Devon World Surf­ing Reserve, the first of its kind in the UK.

A fam­i­ly room con­sist­ing of a room with a large king size bed and inter­con­nect­ing with a room con­tain­ing a sin­gle bed with a trun­dle guest bed which makes a twin room. A trav­el cot or bed guard can be pro­vid­ed. Adjoin­ing this is an ensuite show­er room.
