Lowe Farmhouse is an idylllic rural hideaway on a traditional Herefordshire farm. There are 230 acres of fields, woodland and lakes to explore right outside your front door. The property itself comprises a cottage and farmhouse which have been joined together giving large groups of holidaymakers masses of communal space with 2 kitchens, 2 lounges and a snug, a dining room large enough to seat everyone in your party, a well-equipped games room, and 10 bedrooms/7 bathrooms. Outside the property there is seating to the front and side of the property with benches/parasols and BBQs. You can even hire a hot tub for the duration of your stay. Just a 10 minute walk takes you to the nearest pub serving homemade food and real ale, the locals will give you a warm welcome.
If you love country walks with stunning views you will be spoilt for choice with the Wye Valley AONB, Brecon Beacons National Park , Black Mountains and Herefordshire Trail all nearby. You can explore on foot or by bicycle, or even hire canoes/kayaks and spend a day messing about on the river. There are several local golf courses to choose from, fishing lakes and horse-riding available nearby. Or why not try your hand at paintballing, archery, laser tag, clay pigeon shooting and more, all available at the Outdoor Activity Centre on site.
Just 6 miles from Lowe Farmhouse is the Cathedral town of Hereford which boasts many high street shops and eateries, plus some independents, an Odeon cinema, leisure centre and swimming pool. Ross on Wye is the nearest market town which has it’s own unique charm, plus Abergavenny, Monmouth and Hay-on-Wye are all within reach in little over 30 minutes. Whether you choose to spend your holiday relaxing at the farmhouse taking in the stunning views and exploring the site, or discovering the local area and attractions, you are sure to have a great time in this stunning location. The property comprises the original farmhouse and a recently built cottage which have been connected offering loads of communal space; there are 2 kitchens, 2 lounges, a snug, excellent games room and large dining room. 2 of the 10 bedrooms are on the ground floor.
Aside from the 230 acres of fields, woodland and lakes to explore on the estate, you also have your own seating and patio areas to the front and side of the property. BBQs are available and a hot tub can be hired for the duration of your stay, details provided on request.
