Hardcragg Hall has welcomed visitors for over 400 years, including Beatrix Potter who was a frequent guest to the Hall and Oliver Cromwell was also reputed to have visited between military excursions.

Guest can enjoy the peace and tranquillity the house has to offer the moment they cross the threshold. Dating back to 1563 this grade II listed country Manor house has oak panelled rooms, mullioned windows and log fires. The Hall has several spacious reception rooms that interconnect, including a dining room, drawing room, breakfast room, snug and impressive entrance hall. The classic farmhouse kitchen boasts a four oven Aga, gas hob, and double oven. With a utility room equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and bags more space. The rooms are luxurious, many with sea views, all with colour TV’s.

Hardcragg Hall sits in its own peaceful acre garden, secluded in the centre of Grange over Sands. The delightful grounds are fully enclosed and have superb panoramic views of Morecambe Bay.Hardcragg Hall has two outdoor seating areas with pelnty of outdoor tables and chsirs to seat 14 there is also 2 quality charcoal barbeques to enjoy in fine weather.
Local Area
Ideally located on the edge of the Southern Lake district, Grange over Sands is a secret gem. The principle sea side town of South Lakeland, it is a perfect location for scenic fell and woodland walks, together with a mile long traffic free promenade overlooking the sands of Morecambe Bay. There are 2 golf courses, award winning cafes, butchers, bakeries, shops, pubs, restaurants, banks, post office and railway station all within minutes walk. The historic 12th Century Cartmel priory is just over the hill and if your interests are more equestrian, the ever popular Cartmel races are run several times a year. Alternatively why not visit the Michelin starred restaurant or the local real ale pubs. Hardcragg Hall is the perfect centre for visiting the Lake District national park. Lake Windermere is only 15minutes drive away. But how pleasant at the end of the day to return to this calm and peaceful home.
