Under new ownership and currently undergoing major refurbishment and change of theme, the property will have a blue and shades of grey nautical theme from Spring 2019 and will welcome visitors for 3/4 night breaks as well as weekly stays, Flexibility on start days at certain times of year. Well-behaved dogs will, as always, be very welcome as will children.

Chesterdene House, one of our larger holiday cottages, is ideal for groups of people, particularly families looking to holiday together. Situated in the hamlet of Waren Mill on the northern edge of Bamburgh village, the house is only a few hundred yards from the sea at Budle Bay, an easy walk to beautiful stretches of sand, and the mudflats ideal for birdwatching, and of course less than a 5 minute drive into the village of Bamburgh dominated by its Castle.

The property is a great base for a holiday to remember spent on fantastic beaches, spotting wildlife, birdlife and rock pooling or exploring the history and tranquility that is Northumberland.

Chesterdene is a holiday cottage that will welcome you home after a day's activities or exploring, it has all you will need - space, inside and out, comfort, warmth and a great place to spend time with friends and family. Dogs can come too, and there's even a comfy spot near the boiler for them to snuggle down for the night. Children of course are well catered for in this child friendly holiday cottage, not only the electronic games and internet access that you are used to at home, but a wealth of boardgames, jigsaws and beach gear to keep them, and you, occupied for hours. Then of course there's that fantastic barbecue hut - so, whatever the weather you can sample the local Bamburgh Banger, or a chunk of locally reared steak, and what a great way to sample the humble Kipper, smoked in nearby Seahouses or Craster.

Large Mezzanine area providing comfy seating, reading area, TV and Games Station
Double bedroom with king size bed. People sleeping in this area use the downstairs shower room.

Local Area

Bamburgh is only a 2 mile drive away where you will find an assortment of pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops - aswell as the magnificent Bamburgh Castle which dominates the landscape.

Take a walk along the beach for a few miles and you will come to Seahouses, a small fishing village with lots of eateries and activities. From Crazy Golf to the indoor soft play or take a boat trip from the harbour over to the famous Farne Islands.
