Brae Fell Cottage at Monkhouse Hill
An imaginative conversion for 8 people of a large ancient Lake District barn which simply oozes character.
Free access to the North Lakes Spa, which has a flat-deck swimming pool, saunas, steam room and a gym with the latest equipment, is included when staying at Monkhouse Hill.
The ground floor has a spacious dining room with a fully equipped, recently fitted kitchen alongside.
The open tread stairs lead directly to a stunning living room with atmospheric old beams, exposed stonework and three large soft leather sofas. Adjacent to the living room is a second smaller sitting area ideal for reading and board games.
The cottage has a wide flatscreen TV with DVD player, a ‘Bluetooth’ music player with CD and DAB, and access to free high speed wifi.
There are two self contained bedroom suites, one upstairs and one downstairs, each with a private hallway leading to a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom. Both bathrooms have been completely refitted to our highest standard, with the upstairs one featuring a water jet spa bath.
Artwork in Brae Fell includes a fine tapestry from June Stock in the dining area, and an amusing collection of Beryl Cook prints. Furniture in all the main areas has been specially made by ‘Out of the Woods’.
