Nes­tled in the shad­ow of the 13th cen­tu­ry ruin of Bar­den Tow­er, a for­mer for­ti­fied hunt­ing lodge the barn has been con­vert­ed from for­mer sta­bles into a well appoint­ed group accom­mo­da­tion venue sleep­ing up to 20 people. 
The whole site, which con­sists of the ruined Bar­den Tow­er, the Priests House and new­ly ren­o­vat­ed Bar­den Chapel, is grade 1 list­ed being one of the most impor­tant his­tor­i­cal sites in the York­shire Dales. 
It boasts fan­tas­tic views of the val­ley with superb riv­er and hill walks nearby.

Con­sists of a large kitchen and din­ing area over­looked by a mez­za­nine with a relax­ing area includ­ing couch­es with a Smart screen, a DVD and CD play­er. There are 2 bed­rooms of 4, one of which has a dou­ble bed and 2 bed­rooms of 6.

At the north­ern edge of the Bolton Abbey Estate, there are some mag­nif­i­cent walks on the moors (includ­ing up the Val­ley of Des­o­la­tion) and along the Riv­er Wharfe. Hes­keth Farm for a fun kids day out and the Bolton Abbey railway.

Delight­ful local mar­ket towns of Skip­ton and Grass­ing­ton, with Ilk­ley and the famous moor all rough­ly equidis­tant away.
