What services do you offer?

Your property will be advertised on our bigholidayhouse.com website which is promoted with all the major search engines to ensure you get the best possible exposure and bookings for your property. Our service enables you to -

What type of properties do you advertise on bigholidayhouse.com?

All kinds - from farmhouses, villas, gites, castles to chateaux in the UK, Ireland and France. As long as your house can comfortably sleep 8 people or more and is available to let.

What does my advertisement include?

Your property will have its own full page advert with the emphasis on colour photos. We know from experience that a picture paints a thousand words and these are so important in attracting bookings. It will feature an at a glance layout so potential customers can see quickly what you have to offer as well as plenty of space to include descriptions of your property, facilities, the local area and amenities. Included are your contact details -name and phone number and a direct email form (we hate spam too!) . You also get your own easy to update availability calendar and price chart with rental rates.

What does it cost?

We charge £99 or 150 Euros for a full 12 months advertising on our site. Your advert will go live as soon as we have approved it and received payment. Your 12 months start from this date.

Do I have to pay you a commission?

No, just the yearly fee. This means great value for money.

How do I pay?

Payment is made online through PayPal. All you need is a credit or debit card. You do not need to be an existing PayPal account holder or open an account. All online transactions go through the secure PayPal portal. We do not receive your credit card details. You can also pay by cheque in Pounds Sterling. Cheques should be made payable to Big Holiday House Ltd.

Do you have any current promotions?

You can advertise your property in our "Late Deals" section free of charge. This is specifically for weeks/weekends or fortnights etc. that you wish to let. All we ask is that you do not place ads here 12 weeks before the holiday start date and do not abuse our goodwill by placing more than 3 ads at any one time.

How do I get started?

If you're ready to advertise now, please go to 'Advertiser Log in' and click 'become an advertiser'. This online method is the easiest and quickest way to get your advert started. How soon will my property be on the internet?

As soon as we have all of your details, have approved your advert and received payment (no payment or banking details are required with promotional offers!) then your advert will be online within 24 hours.

How many photos can I include and in which format should they be?

Up to 11 photos will be featured on your advert. We can't emphasise enough the importance of good, clear quality photographs. Poor photos will put off any potential visitors and send them straight to someone else's advert. The best and quickest way to send photos is to upload them using the facility provided in your login area. These should be saved as JPEG or jpg formats using a medium quality setting. The mimimum size is 260 pixels wide by 216 pixels high, 72 dpi, but don't make them too big either! You can also send your photos by post on disk or you can email them to us. It sounds obvious, but please make sure you include your name, email address and reference number!

How do I update or amend my advert?

You can make unlimited changes anytime you like. Simply go to the Advertiser log in link with your email address and password. The process of updating your advert is the same as when you first created it.

Availability Calendar - Do I have to use the one provided by Big Holiday House?

We understand especially when advertising on many sites & directories that updating calendars is tedious and time consuming. Thats why we give you a choice! You can either use our easy to use calendar or choose to link to your own calendar on your own website. Just untick the calendar box and add the URL or link to your availability page.

e.g. www.myfabholidayhouse.co.uk/availability .

Please note, we will not allow links to other advertising websites or directories - the link must be to your own site. This facility is not available to advertisers on a free trial basis.

How do I update the Big Holiday House calendar?

Simply choose or click on the dates you want to show as booked and 'submit'. These will show as red on your calendar.

How do potential customers contact me?

An online form at the bottom of your page is provided for customers to fill in with their booking requirements and enquiries. We do not publish any email addresses to avoid spam mail. The form will be sent to you directly via email. The info will include the customers name email address and phone number so that you can contact them straight away. You may also receive enquiries by phone. All we ask is that you reply to all genuine enquiries as promptly as possible.

Can I advertise more than one property?

Only one property is permitted on each advertisement page. We find that this makes for a consistent, clear site and generates more bookings. You can advertise as many individual properties on our website as you like. Please contact us for rates, as we have great deals for multiple property owners and agents.
If you have a number of properties say in a small complex or courtyard, please also contact us for advice.

How do I cancel my advertisement?

Send us an email at info@bigholidayhouse.com  or write to us. Please include your username (email address) and password. We will cancel your advert and remove your details from our website and send you a confirmation email or letter. We'll also be very sorry to see you go.
