Gooseham Barton Farm offers a range of self catering cottages four in total, accommodating between 4 and 10 suiting individuals and families alike. Situated on a 50 acre farm in the parish of Morwenstow on the North Cornwall / Devon coast, known for being an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The Barton is believed to have acquired its name from being the first settlement in the parish. The farmhouse is reputedly the old rectory owned by Sir William de Gooseham in 1310, the cottages and outbuildings appear to date from around the same period. Gooseham Barton Farm is now run as licensed riding stables, established since 1974 they have been approved by the British Horse Society, horseriding and lessons can be arranged on site.

New Barn - Sleeps 4 (£190 - £470) in one double and one twin room.

William - Sleeps 4 (£220 - £550) in one double and one twin room

Norman - Sleeps 4/5 (£205 - £510) one double room and one bunk room with additional single bed. This property can be combined with William to accommodate 9 as they share a connecting door.

Farmhouse - Sleeps 8/10 (£395 - £980) can accommodate up to 10 if using sofa bed in the second lounge. Bedrooms comprise a family room with a double and a single, a children's room with full size bunk beds and a single bed. a double room with vanity unit and television All the cottages have Microwave, washing machine, cooker, fridge, television, bathrooms with over bath shower and a set log fire ready to go with a basket of logs provided. However, the farmhouse has the additional or upgraded facilities of a dishwasher, Rayburn central heating, fridge/freezer,tumble dryer, wide screen television, video, hi fi system and a highchair for the little one.

35 horses and ponies are kept on the farm, most are used for riding, others being mainly old faithfuls' enjoying their retirement. The horses and ponies range in size from approximately 11hh to 17hh, and we cater for everyone from the complete beginner to the experienced rider. Mounts are allocated to suit size and riding ability. All rides are escorted by our experienced and friendly staff, who will make your riding as varied and interesting as possible. Our gentle ponies are ideal for small children wishing to take part in our 1/2 hour leading rein rides around the farm. If you wish to ride during your stay you may book your rides when you are here. Horse riding is available either English or Western style.

Enjoying a great location Bude is only 10miles (16km), Bideford 20miles (32km) and Kilkhampton is only 6 miles (9.6km) away. Sandy Beaches can be found at Widemouth, Sandymouth, Bude and many more within easy reach. Rocky Coves for the young explorers at Marsland Mouth (within walking distance) and Crackington Haven. Scenic walks for all ages are numerous the Cornish coastal path and public footpaths are close by together with gardens, historical buildings and the all important tea shops.
