Le Mas Casteunou nestles in the peace of the foothills of the Cote d'Azur amongst acres of national parkland, a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and yet only 25 minutes from the vibrant coastal cities of Nice and Cannes. The house has been imaginatively restored whilst retaining its traditional Provencal architecture. It is tastefully and comfortably furnished with an eclectic mix of antique and modern pieces which offer an informal and relaxed atmosphere in which to stay.The layout of the house offers large groups the perfect place to stay as there are large lounge, dining and communal areas but lots of privacy as the bedrooms are over 3 floors and all have their own en suite facilities and direct access to terraces and gardens. The house has a large swimming pool surrounded by terraces overlooking the gardens.

Le Mas Casteunou, the main house offers six comfortable guest rooms which are furnished with antique French furniture, have modern en-suite facilities and direct access to private terraces. Sleeping 12-14 people, there are 4 double/twin bedrooms plus 2 triple rooms . There is also a separate stone guest cottage sleeping 6 additional people with its own private pool, parking and gardens in the grounds. The main hous has a lovely 50 sq M double height living room which is equipped with SKY satellite TV, video/DVD/Dolby surround sound with CD player. The fully equipped modern kitchen is fitted with, professional stainless steel range cooker, dishwasher, American Fridge/freezer with ice maker and water dispenser. There is a separate laundry room with washing machine, drier and a 2nd fridge freezer. In addition, there is a telephone with ASDL, full central heating and a beautiful large open fireplace for cosy off season rentals. A maid service is provided twice weekly. All linens and pool towels are provided, we just ask that you bring your own beach towels.

The private terraces which surround the house, overlook the mature landscaped gardens and ancient olive groves which have been here since Roman times. Large palm fringed terraces surround the house, offering sun and shade throughout the day and there is a comfortably furnished maroccan covered terrace adjacent to the swimming pool which is perfect for evening drinks. Also outside you will find a large teak dining table and chairs, a second dining table and chairs, an outdoor shower and a stone built BBQ. There is also a boules pitch, trampoline and childrens swing, slide and climbing frame.

Le Mas Casteunou has one of the most beautiful and far reaching views of the entire region, overlooking the Loup valley, the Gorge du Loup, and the mediaeval hill-top villages which surround this unique home. There is an enormous and varied choice of places to visit in the South of France - from watersports to museums, villages and markets. It is possible to ski locally.
