Darwin Lake's luxury stone cottages cluster around the lake in 10 acre private woodland grounds; guests are welcome to ramble its trails spotting the abundant wildlife. These 4 star cottages are furnished very tastefully and excellently equipped for your stay, nearby is the village pub in Two Dales and many more facilities can be found in Matlock (3 miles).

All cottages finished and prepared professionally for your stay with all home comforts catered for. The cottages feature comfort and practicality with open plan living areas, modern kitchens fully equipped for self-catering. Beautifully prepared and furnished bedrooms - many ensuite and some cottages feature ground floor bedrooms with wet rooms / shower rooms.

Set in 10 acre Woodland grounds designated a site of special scientific interest the cottages nestle around the lake and there is an abundance of wildlife in the grounds, flowers, plants and trees of the natural countryside. There is a natural walk around the grounds and lake.

Situated in the hills above Matlock between craggy moorland and the National Forest at the start of the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site and ideal for The Peak District National Park and all its renowned attractions. Darwin Lake is perfect for a tranquil relaxing break or for walking and cycling in some stunning countryside. Local attractions include horse trekking, Peak Steam Railway, lead mining museum, National Tramway Museum and Heights of Abraham cable car rides.
