The Farm became redundant in 1991 when Carsington Water was completed. The farmland now lies beneath Carsington Water, although a couple of acres have been kept with the Farm and provide an area for ball games, picnics, or perhaps a quiet moment to absorb the beauty of the hill to the rear of the property. We have restored the house over a period of years and is just great.Each year we do a little more, perhaps extending the gardens and have upgraded the kitchens and we are more than a little pleased with the end result! Beamed ceilings, traditional doors, exposed stone work, flagged floors, simple decor and lovely rugs along with comfortable settees and mellow furniture, lovely pictures and other traditional features combine to create a warm and cosy atmosphere home from home.
