Garth Barns are luxury self catering barns, perfect for celebrations for families and friends. The 2 barns are on either side of the former farmyard, now a spacious landscaped courtyard, providing parking and a garden with a pond and a stream running through. Hafod Barn has been decorated in a cool contemporary style, with solar assisted underfloor heating and big windows opening on to the slate terrace and garden. There are large, light, dining and living spaces where everyone can socialise and eat together. In contrast, Ty Nant Barn has a homely farmhouse atmosphere with an Aga, big oak table and a traditional fireplace. There are terraces to the front and rear of both barns, and an enclosed safe place for toddlers to play. Lots of playing space inside too! There are 11 bedrooms - 8 are ensuite. There is a well equipped gym and sauna. Catering can usually be arranged if required.

The barns are set at the centre of Garth Farm, 240 acres of hill, fields, woodland and dingle with wildlife pools and spectacular views. Excellent walking country. Farm trail. Good birdwatching. Owls, Red Kites and Woodpeckers live within 50 metres of the barns. In the field 300 metres from the barns there is a large pool or small lake with a little rowing boat and a beautiful spot to spend the afternoon or to cook supper over an open fire. There is an interesting Farm Trail taking in the Hill, the 5 acre Oak Wood and the Dingle with its fast flowing rocky stream. You are welcome to explore the 240 acres of Garth Farm. The dingle and stream are a source of endless entertainment for children, making dams, bursting them, making bridges and dens. There are terraces to the front and rear of the barns, and an enclosed safe place for toddlers to play.

The friendly market town of Llanidloes with its cafes, pubs and interesting shops is just 2 miles away. It has a Leisure Centre with squash courts, swimming pool, tennis, table tennis, basketball and a good range of classes and activities. There is a free skateboard park next to the children's playground at the riverside park. The 600 acre Llyn Clywedog Lake is only 3 miles from Garth Farm. Boats for fly fishing are available for hire. Sailing and canoeing courses are run from the lake. The Yamaha Off Road Experience is a professional Off Road Motorcycling School providing coaching and fun days out in spectacular countryside. It has become one of the premier clay target shooting grounds in the UK, hosting World, British, English and Welsh Championships. There are expert instructors on hand to ensure you have a great time. St Idloes Golf Club welcomes visitors. The 9 hole, par 66 course, is full of variety, has well kept greens and, of course, excellent views.
